INCT JOIN WITH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS COLLECTING DATA IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF AILEU FOR THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PROJECT ON THE GREEN ECONOMY

Dili, June 12, 2026 – The National Institute of Science and Technology (INCT), through the INCT National Director of Exact and Natural Sciences, Mr. Valente Ferreira, accompanied by the Technical Team for External Relations and Administration, Ms. Agostinha de Sousa, together with the National and International Principal Investigator, began collecting data for the scientific research project on the green economy in the municipality of Aileu.

The main objective of this data collection activity is to observe, conduct interviews, and collect data directly in the municipality of Aileu, which comprises Seloi, Aisirimou, and Erluli/Daisoli, in order to gather research data through observation and interviews. As such, it aims to strengthen the scientific research on the green economy that INCT conducted this year, in collaboration with the National Principal Investigator and the International Researcher from Udayana University in Indonesia, under the research title: “Study for the Development of Irrigation Models for Each Municipality in Timor-Leste,” which will be conducted in six (6)municipalities in Timor-Leste, namely: Manatutu, Aileu, Viqueque, Manufahi, Ainaro, and Dili.

This research involved the full participation of the INCT team; the INCT National Director of Exact and Natural Sciences, Mr. Valente Ferreira; accompanied by the Technical Team for External Relations and Administration, Ms. Agostinha de Sousa; a representative from the Aileu PAM; National Principal Investigator, Dr. Benjamin Hoffer Martins and team; International Principal Investigator, Prof. Dr. They. By Made Trigunasih, and Prof. Dr. They. Nyoman Rai.
